Careers

We have no open roles right now. Rather than list positions we are not hiring for, here is how we work and what we would want to hear if you think you should be here anyway.

What we are building

An intelligence layer for healthcare data. A patient can bring their records together from the systems that hold them, get a summary that is actually readable, and decide which clinician sees what. A clinician gets the history without the fax machine.

The hard part is not the model. It is the plumbing, the consent, and being trustworthy enough with a health record that someone hands you theirs.

How we work

Small, senior, and remote. Everyone here has shipped something that other people depend on. There is no layer between deciding and doing.

We write things down. Decisions get recorded with their reasoning, including the ones that turned out wrong, because the reasoning is the part worth keeping.

We are candid about what is unfinished. You can read our security page for a sense of the register: it says what is running and what is not, and we would rather tell a customer the gap than have them find it.

What we look for

People who go and check. The most useful trait we have found is the reflex to verify a claim rather than pass it along — most expensive mistakes in this domain start with a plausible assumption nobody tested.

Comfort with regulated ground. HIPAA, consent, auditability and retention are not obstacles to route around; they are most of the product's actual shape.

Clear writing. If you cannot explain a design in plain language, we have found it usually means the design is not finished.

Get in touch anyway

If you are a clinician, an engineer who has worked inside an EHR, or someone who has taken a health company through its first audit, we want to know you exist before we have a posting up.

Use Contact us and tell us what you have built. A real note about one thing you shipped beats a résumé and a cover letter every time.

Equal opportunity

Valinor Labs is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law. If you need an accommodation at any point in a hiring conversation, ask — it will not count against you and it will not be discussed with anyone who does not need to know.
